"Dan's Hiking Blog"

dudek25

It's fall time, so naturally, I think about hiking! I can't help but feel nostalgic at the thought of a good autumn's hike.  Now, I've never been on an "official' hike, meaning I've never hiked on a designated hiking trail, but I have been known to pack up my North Face backpack and hike my parent's suburb's leisurely traisl to the nearby park reserve, and the nearby lake.

I've always wanted to embark on an "official" trail hike, but have just never found the time, or the company (I wouldn't want to hike alone, in case I see a bear, or a snake, yikes!) I must admit though, I have found comfort, a sort of "official hiking" guilty pleasure, in the adventurous blog of one of our fellow bloggers, Hiker Dan.

Dan's blog entitled, "Dan's Hiking Blog," shares his hiking adventures in the beautiful hills of California. Dan's Hiking Blog is the perfect bliss of seasonal beauty, rugged adventure and primitive wit; all from the comfort of your own home. Dan's blog brings you all the treasures of hiking such as waterfalls, Bighorn sheep, and exotic flowers.  He manages to capture each find, so vibrantly, in his photographic array of pictures.

In his blog, Dan is able to share a slight history of each trail he endures, leaving you with an overwhelming appreciation for both the history and the beauty of the environment. Dan even entails the "hiker lover's"         aspects of hiking such as getting up at five in the morning to hike at dawn, and he even includes his nutrition breaks.  By the time you are done reading, you feel just as refreshed as he does, ready to hit the shower then tackle the day.

Dan's Hiking Blog, is a must read, for all hikers, and non-hikers alike. Dan's blog contains enough adventure for everyone. After reading it, you're sure to walk away with a greater appreciation of nature, and yourself!
