So, one of the things I like about my favorite vloggers, are their posts on a day in the life of themselves. I like it because you get to connect with the author, and see what their life is like on any given day. So, I thought I'd give you guys a glimpse into a day in the life of Vee, so that we could connect. So, here we go...
I don't know what got into me today, but I was up very early this morning, about 5:30am, so I decided to make my son breakfast before he went to school. I made him breakfast: bacon, cheese eggs, grape jelly toast, and orange juice. He ate it, then headed out the door. Since it was still early, I decided to take advantage of the solitude and begin working on a new blog post, since it's been a while since I last checked in ;). So, in the middle of sitting down to write, and pondering up ideas on what to write about, I decided I could take a much needed shower, which would refresh my mind and get my ideas flowing.
So, I took a shower... and nothing. Then I decided maybe I should have breakfast first, and that would surely get the juices flowing. But while in the kitchen, I looked at the floor, and decided it needed mopping, so I went about making my cheese eggs, deciding that I would clean the floor afterwards, and have lots of ideas by the time I was done. So, while I made breakfast, the phone rang; it was my sister. I thought good, surely our conversation would strike up some interesting ideas to write about. So, as I talked to her, I finished making my breakfast, ate it, then went about sud-sing up the kitchen floor.
We had an interesting conversation, but nothing I thought I could write about. So, when we hung up the phone, I decided to mop the bathroom floor, thinking the more I did, the more it would help me come up with ideas... but, nothing. So, I went back to the kitchen, and as I grabbed a bottled water to head back upstairs, I looked at the cans of crushed tomatoes that I'd been putting off making marinara sauce with, still sitting on the kitchen cabinet. So, I decided to acquire yet, another task, in hopes that it would get , my ideas flowing. I sauteed my garlic, carrots, and celery, in olive oil, until they were soft, then threw in the cans of crushed tomatoes. I turned on the pot, and left it to simmer for about an hour, thinking the smell, would definitely get my juices flowing. And it did....
As I smelled the cozy, comforting smell of authentic Italian sauce cooking, I thought about how proud I was to have finally learned to make marinara sauce. At that point, I thought to myself, what an interesting day! And so, like my favorite YouTube vloggers, here I am sharing a day in the life with Vee, with you! Until next time, Salud! Hope you've enjoyed!
